Hidenori Maehara前原 秀則

Manager of Yamatomichi Kamakura

Hidenori grew up in rural Hokkaido and spent five years as a physical therapist in an orthopedic clinic before transitioning to the role of a mountain hut caretaker in the Northern Japanese Alps. In 2019, he and his spouse embarked on an adventure, walking the entire length of New Zealand's Te Araroa trail, immersing themselves deeply in nature. This transformative experience sparked their passion for ultralight hiking. Now, Hidenori is dedicated to researching and developing hiking styles that minimizes both injuries and environmental impact, allowing him to continue hiking actively well into his later years.
