Wash & Care Guide

Introduction

  • Hand-wash only. Wash gently as the fabric can get felted when rubbed briskly. The color may transfer when wet if in contact with white or light-colored items.
  • Do not scrub it in wet condition. Scrubbing can cause the wool to be felted and hardened.
  • Wash at 30°C or lower. Higher temperatures may cause shrinkage.
  • Wash separately. The color may transfer when wet if in contact with white or light-colored items.
  • Do not leave the product in wet condition. Dry it immediately after wearing or washing it.
  • To restore the shape, gently stretch the fabric after washing and dry flat.
  • When you store the item, use mothballs or vacuum storage bags to keep out insects.

What you will need:

  • Washbasin, bucket, or bathtub
  • Neutral detergent for delicate clothes
  • Towel

How to Wash

1. Fill the water in the washbasin or bucket, pour an adequate amount of neutral detergent, and stir it. The water temperature must be 30°C or lower as warmer water may cause the fabric to be hardened and felted. Do not add too much detergent so that it is completely washed away after the rinse.

2. Use a neutral detergent for delicate clothes. To preserve the texture and function of the fabric, avoid using fabric softener and bleach.

3. Submerge the cap in the water and handwash by gently pushing it up and down in the water.

4. Wash gently as the wet fabric can get felted when rubbed briskly.

5. Rinse well until the water gets clean and clear. Change the water in the basin if necessary.

6. Wring gently.

7. For quicker drying, spin-dry with the washing machine. Set the cap at the curve of the washing tub, and spin-dry for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or the shortest period of time. If the time setting is not available, stop the spin cycle manually in 30 seconds to 1 minute.

How to Dry

1. If the shrinkage is noticeable, correct it before drying. Gently stretch the wet cap by tugging the fabric so that it is restored to its original shape and dimension. Do not stretch it too much to keep it in good condition.

2. Flat dry in a well-ventilated shade.
