Taslan Coach Jacket from surplus fabric
At one of our factories, we discovered some leftover pieces of Taslan nylon (120g/m2), the fabric we use for our 5-Pocket Pants/Shorts. There was a wide variety of colors. Some only a couple of meters, but some hundreds of meters from both current and discontinued models.
Like the 5-Pocket Pants/Shorts, the Taslan Coach Jacket is highly durable and quick-drying, but it is not designed to serve you as special-purpose hiking gear. It is comfortable for general purposes, but, frankly speaking, perhaps a bit heavy for UL hiking.
Get it while you can! This is a super limited run. One-of-a-kind that will probably not be sold ever again!

Form and Function
Put your collar up to keep your neck warm
In the early mornings or chilly evenings when you want to keep your neck warm, just turn up your collar and fasten it with a single button to keep out the wind. Also great when trying to avoid your neck getting sunburned at the height of summer.
Outstanding Durability
The Taslan Coach Jacket is made of durable and fast-drying Taslan nylon (120 grams per square meter) with a cotton-like texture, the same fabric as our 5-Pocket Pants. The chart below shows a comparison of the strength of our middle layer, jackets and shirts.

Fast-drying
In the pouring rain, even water-repellent finished clothes will unavoidably get wet. Also, even the highest-spec rainwear gets soaked from the moisture caused by sweat during intense exercise.
Hence, what we prioritize is how fast the fabric can dry after getting wet, rather than to make a lot of effort to keep them completely dry.
The below chart compares the moisture content in the fabric of the Taslan Coach Jacket with synthetic base layers and normal cotton after a 15 minutes spin cycle.
The lower the moisture content, the faster the fabric will dry. As can be seen on the chart, the Taslan Coach Jacket is almost completely dry with a moisture content of only 1% after 15 minutes of spin-dry.
Details
Standard and simple neck design.
A center loop allows it to be hung for drying.
Snap buttons allow for speedy opening and closing while moving about.
The design incorporates pivot sleeves, where the arm holes are extended under the armpits so as not to impede arm movement.
The sleeve openings are elastic and easy to roll up.
Convenient large pockets can be closed by buttons so that the items will not pop out.
The hem can be tightened by the draw cord.
The tail is longer to keep it from riding up under backpacks.

Cotton-like Taslan Nylon
The Taslan nylon fabric is made of “air-textured yarns”, the filament yarns using compressed air.
Unlike the general nylon fabrics, which are often shiny, the Taslan nylon has a matte and soft texture. It is a high-density material made of “air-textured yarns”, achieving both durability and lightweight.
The nylon material is fast-dry and its unique uneven texture keeps you comfortable in various conditions without sticking to your wet skin.

Instructions
Care Instructions
- Machine wash below 40°C.
- Use laundry net or wash separately.
- Tumble dry below 60°C.
- When using a dryer, use a low-temperature setting (60°C or lower).
- Do not bleach and do not use fabric softener.
- Iron on low without steam.
- Do not dry-clean.
- High temperatures may cause shrinkage.

- Bank transfer is available only to customers with a Japanese bank account.

Delivery
- Order Confirmation will be sent after the order.
- The items will be dispatched within 5 days after the payment is confirmed.
- The dispatch notice will be sent by email as soon as the items are dispatched.
- The delivery may be delayed by unforeseeable reasons such as natural disasters and other logistics issues. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
- We cannot ship multiple orders in one package due to how our delivery system is currently set up.
- We will ship to regions in North America, Oceania, and Europe via DHL. For regions in Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America, Africa, we use EMS (International Express Mail Service) for shipping. We currently cannot ship to Russia due to Japanese postal regulations.

Choosing the right size online can be difficult. To make your purchase easier, Yamatomichi offers a size exchange program for eligible items. To request a size exchange, please use our size exchange form here. Please review the conditions below before submitting your request.
- We only accept exchanges when the item is unused (except for fitting).
- If you would like to exchange your item for a different size, please contact us within seven days of receiving your order.
- Exchanges are available only for the same color in a different size.
- If your preferred size is out of stock, we may suggest a different color instead.
- If the product is no longer available, we may need to return the original item to you.
- All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- We will send the exchanged item after receiving payment for the return shipping cost via PayPal.
- Please note that some countries may charge customs duties depending on the value of the item.
