Spirality Issue in
100% Merino Light Series

Regarding the “100% Merino Light” series T-shirts, including the 100% Merino Light Long Sleeve and 100% Merino Light Long Sleeve Zip, both went on sale on June 15, we have found the spirality issue (twisting toward a certain direction) was more noticeable than our quality standard. This irregularity occasionally appears in Gray Marl and Charcoal Marl colors.

Although the shirts are wearable with no problem, we understand that some customers might be concerned about the spirality. Therefore, for the customers who have already purchased the 100% Merino Light Series in Gray Marl and Charcoal Marl colors online or at the brick-and-mortar shops, we will do as follows:

For other colors, we will accept a return and refund even after washing and wearing if you notice the obvious spirality (twisting). For more details, please check below:

For customers who have purchased the 2022 version 100% Merino Light Series in the colors Gray Marl and Charcoal Marl at the Yamamichi Online Shop, or customers who won the lottery but have not made a payment yet, we have already sent an email with detailed information on how to return the product and receive a full refund or a 20% partial refund, or cancel their order.

For the customers who purchased the 100% Merino Light series in Gray Marl or Charcoal Marl color at the brick-and-mortar shops, including samplus in Taipei, we accept the return of the product, and we offer a full refund. Or, we offer the product with a partial refund of 20% of the price.

For the 2022 version 100% Merino Light series, the spirality (twisting) occurs to a certain extent when wet immediately after washing, in all colors including Charcoal Marl and Gray Marl. The twisted fabric will be restored to a certain degree after the line-dry, flattened by its weight and the downward gravity.

The extent of spirality (twisting) differs in each product, and the spirality can only be confirmed after the garment has been washed and dried. Therefore, for other than Gray Marl and Charcoal Marl, If the spirality is significant and apparent after purchase, we will accept a return and offer a full refund even after washing and wearing.

Before the mass production, we conducted the sampling inspection and confirmed that the frequency and extent of the spirality were within our quality standard. After the mass production, however, we conducted the sampling inspection again and confirmed that some products in Gray Marl and Charcoal Marl colors deviated from our quality standard.
