Pentapetala is a trail shoe garage brand formed by two skilled shoemakers and a mountain-loving runner. With the motto, “We run, walk, and build with our own feet,” they handcraft each pair of trail shoes to order—one at a time.

Their first model, the Papilio, has earned the trust of many hikers for its simple yet versatile design—ideal for everything from daily trail runs to extended thru-hikes. It features a zero-drop platform for a natural feel, a highly breathable upper, and a Vibram® Megagrip sole that ensures reliable traction in varied terrain.

Because their shoes are made-to-order, it’s rare to find an opportunity to try them on in person. At this event, however, you’ll be able to experience Pentapetala’s philosophy and craftsmanship firsthand through trial fitting and a special order session.

We hope this collaboration—between Yamatomichi’s vision for ultralight hiking and Pentapetala’s pursuit of footwear as tools for walking—will spark new encounters and discoveries for all who join.

This event offers a rare opportunity to test Pentapetala’s first model, the Papilio, on the actual trails of Kamakura.
